User Enabled Right in A8 Response

Dimitri,

No, I do not change anything. After I enable user rights, you cannot alter the pdf without saving a copy. I have tried securing, not securing, enabling rights, then undoing and redoing rights and downloaded the most current version of Reader. All tutorials tell me to "simply choose users rights...". I just can't seem to figure this out.

Hi hurricane23,

Sorry that didn't help. I hope another of the experts will jump in here, because I don't know why this isn't working for you.

Hi. Dimitri asked me to jump in here.

I read your thread. There may be some anomaly going on with the file. If you have a Reader Enabled file and you want to make a change on it, you can save a copy, close the open document and open the copy. Once you complete editing on the copy, you can then enable it and all should be fine when opened in Adobe Reader.

Something speciifc may be going on with your file that we really can't determine from the post here. We need to look at the document in order to further analyze the problem.

Can you send me the file? west [dot] net.]ted [at] west [dot] net.Send it to me and let me look it over to see if we can be of any more assistance.
