I need to have my form signed by me. I just need it to appear on there and thought that I would be able to add it to my pdf as a jpeg but can't figure out how. I fill these forms out and would like to be able to apply my sig when I'm done filling it out.
I would love to be able to just click a button and have my sig appear on the form, but I think then I would have to go through the digital signing ordeal. I have read a bit on the digital signing and it seems much more complicated than what I need. I know there are probably more benefits with digital signature, but I am wondering if my needs are more simple.....yes...or no.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Hi Chris01,

If you have a scanned image of your wet signature (ink) you can use that to create a custom stamp in Acrobat. Then you can apply the stamp to a document, size it appropriately, then as a finishing step flatten all fields in the document so all interactive elements including your signature are not editable/changeable by receivers of the form. If you do not flatten the document, anyone with Acrobat Pro could remove or alter it, so keep that in mind.

There are pretty good instructions on how to create your own custom stamp in the Acrobat Help file.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri

You guys rock!! As poorly as I convey my questions you are still able to answer them. I was easily able to create a jpeg from my wet signature and was able to bring it into my pdf form.

The only problem is that my jpeg covers the actual signing line as well as my title below it. Is there a way to bring forward the line and title?

thanks Dimitri,

that solved most of my problem...I think now I need to learn a little bit more about Adobe Photostudio.
