I have created a form (imported from a PDF document) in LiveCycle Designer, that uses check boxes. The sales team uses the form by checking the options desired. When they try to save it locally, a message pops up telling them they cannot save the document with changes...they can only print it. How can I quickly solve this problem to make my forms usable?
I am using Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0; the sales team uses Adobe Reader 7.0

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8, Windows

Hi Den65,

Thanks for reposting with the version info. Since you have Acrobat 8 Pro you can use the new Rights Enabling feature on your PDF form. This will allow the sales team to "local save" the filled in form using Adobe Reader 7 or 8 (will not work in earlier versions of Reader).

Here is a link to an article here at AUC that explains how to Rights Enable your form-

Rights Enabling and saving the form should be the last operation done- if you make changes to it you will need to do the enabling again- any changes made nullifies the applied Rights.

There are some use restrictions you should be aware of too- the article discusses them, and Duff Johnson has posted the full text of the EULA on his Blog-

If you have less than 500 salespeople using the form you should be OK.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri
