Hi there,
Complete newbie here when it comes to LiveCycle so excuse the ignorance that follows. LiveCycle Designer was that "other program that I never really used" :)
For the most part I been using Acrobat 7 Pro to create forms out of existing PDFs. I noticed that LiveCycle has a nice date popup calendar and wanted to use it. However, I don't see this feature in Acrobat 7 Pro...what gives?
- I have also tried importing the pdf (originally printed/pdf on which I slapped the form fields) into LiveCycle but there seem to be no easy way to just open the file without it being converted and thrown into the 'ugly land' and complaining over fonts I don't have. Seems like it is trying too hard to 'no-optionally convert' even though I don't need this 'favor' at all.
- Also tried creating a simple document in LiveCycle (with date popup) hoping that I can copy-paste just this one field but PDF is not editable in Acrobat 7 pro after being made in LiveCycle.
So, is there a way to use LiveCycle popup calendar feature in Acrobat 7 pro?
Am I missing a critical step here that is obvious?
I have seen some JS based solutions such as FormRouter.com that rely on having million additional fields - politely pass.
Thank you for your time,
It is possible to add JavaScirpt and control fields to have Acrobat AcroForms have a pop-up calendar, but that is a lot of code.
