Hi everyone,

When a submit by email but is clicked, Acrobat reader attempts to attach the xml form data file to a new email message. This happens successfully if it can find a desktop email application, however if the user wants to use web based email like Yahoo, Gmail etc. then it can't attached the xml file.

Is there a way for the user to manually locate this xml file and attach it manually to their web email?

Appreciate any help.

Please visit: www.pdfemail.netPdfemail.net generates ASP.net scripts that send PDF form submission data formats without the need for 3rd Party e-mail software such as Outloook, Yahoo, Gmail...

Thanks for the link - it sounds like it could be a really good solution.

Once the xml data from the form has been submitted to an email address, the end user will have a whole stack of emails with a certain subject line. Is it possible for their email program to target all these emails and extract the data files into a folder on their computer so that it's all automated? Is this something that pdfemail.net or one of your other products could handle?

Appreciate any further help.

Also, if the form data contains sensitive information such as credit card details, will the script send the data in a secure form?

The script is fully customizable, so the data can be saved out on the server as a flat file or in a secure directory. However, reading POP3 Connections and extracting the attachment data is a little bit beyond the scope of PDFEmail.net.

As far as security and CC info, you would probably need to use SSL on your host. I'm not completely sure if Acrobat leaves temp files on the workstation, so end-users should be required not to submit sensitive info from a public PC.
