Auto Number with Live Cycle Form

Hello,

I have created a fillable form in Adobe Live Cycle and have created a button that connects to a database through ODBC Data Sources using (xfa.sourceSet.DataConnection) code in live cycle. This is used to generate a contract number.

Everything works perfectly in Adobe Acrobat Professional but I would like to know if there is any way to use the same functions in Acrobat Reader?

Please let me know what you think would work and/or what the cheapest solution is.

Thanks.

Hi,

you can setup a ODBC connection similar to Acrobat in Designer.
Check out this tutorial.

I have created my auto number that way. It works in Acrobat Professional but not in Acrobat Reader. How can I get it to work in Reader?
