I am new to creating forms in Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional. I have created a form that has drop down icons, but how do I add the information? I have read I need to click the COMBO BOX TOOL from the Forms toolbar, but the combo box icon is greyed out. Any idea of what I am doing wrong?

By any chance was the original form created with LiveCycle Designer?

If so, you will have to add the combo box in LiveCycle Designer to add a combo box field.

Yes, the original was created with LiveCycle Designer.

So how do I add the combo box in LiveCycle Designer to add a combo box field?

You might open the form in LiveCycle Designer and select the "combo box" box from the library of field types. You will find more information in LiveCycle Designer's "Help => Scripting Reference" menu option.
