Date Display Pattern not changing from old version

Greetings,

I recently upgraded from Acrobat 8 Pro to 9 Pro. The form I am working on was created with 8 Pro. I have a "Date/Time Field" that is not changing the display pattern when I modify it in 9 Pro. Basically, I have the Object -> Value -> Type set to "Calculated - Read Only" so that the date and time automatically populate when the form is opened. However, I am unable to change the display pattern for the date/time field. No matter what display pattern I choose, the form always displays "YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM" which is not what I want it to display. Is there a way to change the display pattern if the field is "Calculated - Read Only" or am I stuck with the current display pattern?

Also, does anyone know how to remove the prompt to distribute a form whenever I close LifeCycle?

Thank you in advance for your responses,

Does no one know the answer to this problem? It seems like a fairly simple problem, but I'm a new user, so I'm not sure how to approach this. Can someone please respond? I need to finish this form soon. Any help is valued.

Was the form create with Acrobat or LiveCycle Designer?

Note: Arcobat 8 Professional has both products and both products are capable of creating forms. But the forms are not compatible at the design level.

If LiveCycle Designer:

Have you looked at the "Field" tab of the "Object" tab for this field?

You should be able to set the "Display pattern' on this tab.

I created the form in Life Cycle 8.

Even if I change the display type, the actual displayed time isn't changed.

Basically, the problem is this:

Under "Object" palette, "Value" tab,

Whenever I select "Calculated - Read Only" as the Runtime Property, the date/time display pattern defaults to {YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS} (ie. 2009-06-11 14:50:39).

My superiors want a specific time and date displayed.

Does anyone know if there is a way around this problem?
