Drop-down list space limit on page

I am creating a form with a bunch of canned responses, in drop-down lists, to be selected and then edited by a user. Some of the list items are a couple of lines long. I cannot figure out how to wrap the list items in the display. In other words, the list items are longer than the value display is wide, but there is sufficient room length-wise. So how can I display the sentence completely so that users can read and print it?

Is this possible? Am I using the wrong object?

Any guidance will be much appreciated!!

Hi,

the display area of a drop down cannto be changed.
But, you can design a multiline dropdown like in this example.
Indeed it's a trick using a textfield, but it serves the purpose.
