You shouldn't have any difficulty editing a PDF created on the Mac on Windows; however, it sounds as though you're adding another component into this equation -- LiveCycle. Some PDF files may be difficult to import into LiveCycle Designer. Conversion problems can depend both on the application used to produce the PDF file and on choices made when the source document was authored. Can you import the PDF as artwork in LiveCycle to reduce conversion problems?

I have a client who has had font issues in the past when trying to edit a pdf created on a mac on their pc. Are there any guidelines to follow to ensure they will be able to do editing.

Because LiveCycle Designer is only available for Windows, your form must be created with Acrobat on Mac, so the best way to edit it, would be using Acrobat not LiveCycle.

As elewc55 just has explained, you should ensure, if all the fonts used in the form are availablbe on you Windows machine.
