I have created a Dynamic PDF Form in Adobe Designer 7 that is a job application for my company to be accessed from one of our web pages, filled out and submitted via email as a PDF to our HR Department. I am running into a 'This Operation is Not Permitted' error when testing the PDF on different computers running either IE7 or IE6 and I am not sure what version of Adobe Reader they are using as they are in our testing lab and the guy that runs that is on vacation. When I test it on my computer and on a co-workers it works fine. It brings up an Outlook message with the PDF attached. I am using just a button with an 'mailto:' link in the 'Submit to URL' field. Our HR dept does not want it submitted as an XML document. Is there any way around this or am I screwed? Please let me know if you need any more information than what I have provided here.

gkaiseril thank you so much for the quick reply! I really appreciate it! Where would I go to add the Extended Reader Rights to the PDF? Would I have to purchase an 'add-on' package or is there just a setting somewhere in Designer that I can change? Once again, thank you very much for the help!

You have to upgrade to version 8 Professional, pay a 3rd party to apply the Extended Rights, or purchase the LiverCycle ES, enterprise server.

You need to Reader-enable the form with Acrobat Pro. 8 so that users of Adobe Reader (7 and greater) can email the entire form.

Thank you for the info. It is much appreciated! I have put in a request to upgrade my Acrobat Pro 7 to 8 so that I can test this and see if it will fix the issue. I certainly hope so. Once I find out I will post back and let you (and everyone else who may be having this same problem) know.
