Dear all,

I have tried very hard searching for the answer but can not find the one that can solve my problem.

I have create form using life cycle desinger ES 8.2. The form contains text box, radio button and also drop down list. I did open this form in Acrobat Pro 9 and enble extended features in Adobe reader under 'Advance' menu bar.

However, if I submit the form to the reader who use Adobe reader 7, they can not fill in the form.

Please advice.

Thanks a lot.

Did you save the form as a dynamic formF, Check how you are saving the form by going to save and save as.

Hi chanet,

According to this product matrix of Acrobat features, the extended feature for Adobe Reader to allow fill and save (applied to the PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro) will only work for Reader 8 or above.
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/matrix.php

Side Note: When the fill and save rights for Reader was introduced in Acrobat 8 Pro, it worked in Reader 7 too, but looks like a change was made when 9 was released to no longer work in Reader 7

You should ask your end user to upgrade their Free Adobe Reader.

Hope this helps,

Dimitri

Hello Dimitri and CPearson,

Thank you for your reply.

Although, I changed to create a form using Acrobat 8 Pro, it did not work for Reader 7 as well.

Thanks again for your help.
