This should be so simple.

I have a numeric text field where the user will imput a dollar amount. I have set the verification to change any number entered to "$0.00" format.

I set the field box to "Expand to fit" both on the x-axis and the y-axis. For some reason, the box expands, but still shows the little black box with the white plus sign to signify that the field is not large enough.

I've tried adjusting the margins on the text box, the box width, and the field is in a flowed subform.

Does any one see a fix that I don't see? Thanks in advance.

I have been encountering this problem only when I set the validation pattern to display $1,234.00. Don't know if there is some connection with that..?
