Hi,
sorry to disturb, with a possible already solved question.
I have prepared a pdf with fillable forms. The file will be dowloaded from a web site, and the users will have to fill it and send it back by e-mail.
I have been informed that a part of these users have a Reader 6 installed (corporate PCs configuration).
Is it really impossible to save the pdf file (forms' content included) with reader 6 ?
Do I have to ask them to print it out and send by fax or classic mail ?

many thanks for your help or suggestions,
etienne

Reader can not save a standard PDF form.

For Reader to save a completed form a special version of the form needs to be created to provide "Extended Reader Form Rights". See FAQ - How do I Save a Completed PDF Form in Adobe Reader? for more information and additonal links.

You may be in luck...

Its only impossible to send or save the pdf.. not the data file or xdp, have your submit button configured to send only the xdp for your reader 6 folks.

What this sends is a file that can be imported back into the original for viewing.

Imagine it as pure data, with street addresses that acrobat can use to connect the data back to the initial fields and recreate the *figuratively* map.

To import a submitted xdp package open up adobe acrobat and go to forms and go down to import data.

The xdp data is much smaller then the actual form so it also saves how much data needs to flying around.

I hope this helps.
