Hello I made a form in livecycle, now I want to open it and edit in in acrobat.

When I try to edit the fields in acrobat I simply cant, it dosnt gives me the option, when I see the security policys, it says Changing the document: Not Allowed, Document Assembly: Not Allowed, the rest is Allowed.

I went into livecycle, file form properties, and tryed to disable the password and everything, but still gives me this...

Its giving me a headache... I cant figure it out. Can someone point me to the right direction please????

Hi manuhunt,

It is simply not a good idea to mix and match the two different PDF form technologies- one being Acroforms created in Acrobat, and the other being PDF forms created in LiveCycle Designer. They are not interchangeable and therefore many editing functions will not work. If you continue down this route your headache will only get bigger. Here is an explanation of the 2 different PDF forms technologies and why you are seeing the grey-out editing items.

Hope this helps,

Thank you Dimitri, i guess you are right. The thing is that i have been trying to do something for a couple days with livecycle and I simply cant I have tryed all different options but its impossible.

I wish this was as easy as using the image programs from adobe, like photoshop, premiere, after effects... I'm used to those and this is driving me crazy... thanks for your fast response

Hi Dimitri!

the scripting is driving me nuts!!! I have a form, but i want it to have 2 different things. One is when i choose one option from a drop down menu, a few of the fields get mandatory. I cant figure out how to do it, i keep trying but it dosnt work. eather with any item of the drop down menu the fields get lighted up, and not only with the required item, or it does strange stuff...

And the other is to make it so that when someoen clicks on the sign field, it pops up a window asking if they are sure and that the fields will get blocked.
