Hi

I am starting out with forms, I have created one from a template & another from a word doc, have entered fields and these all seem to work fine.
To use these now for customer order forms I have added a 'submit' button & set up the return email address & subject line.
these now post out BUT when I open the attached form from outlook express, (it is shown as an xml file?), it opens internet explorer & just shows lines of code.

what on earth is happening & what have i done wrong.............ANY help would be greeeaaat.

Hi norfolkboy,

Try this- add a regular button to your form ( not a Submit Button). In the Object Properties panel for the button under the Field tab choose Control Type :Submit then under the Submit tab for Submit As: select PDF and put the email address in the Submit to URL entry box as "mailto:formsAdmin [at] BigCorp [dot] com"Hope this helps,

Hi norfolkboy,

"why do they have a 'submit button' featured on create etc whens its actually not & you have to do something different?"This is because LiveCycle Designer is actually a component of a whole line of server products for complete enterprise solutions to form and data handling. Enterprise customers expect to be able to submit data into databases and information managment systems. Submitting data vs submitting the whole PDF is probably the default option based on customers using not only LiveCycle Designer but other LiveCycle Server products too.

Hope this helps,
