Hi there
I have inherited a (very) old project (actually it's a project to upgrade a bunch of existing code from VB6 to .Net but that's a different story...)
The existing code has around 300 form templates that were created a number of years ago, each of which has the .xft file extension. Elsewhere in the code there are included libraries and API calls that lead me to believe that these templates were created using FormFlow's Designer software.
These forms also need to be upgraded as FormFlow designer was end-of-lifed in 2004, and I have no access to the FormFlow software to develop against.
I believe that the evolution of FormFlow's Designer software has ultimately led to Adobe LiveCycle; however I am unable to open any of the .xft files using LiveCycle. When I go to File->Open I see the .xft extension in the dropdown under Adobe Form Designer 5.0 files, but when I attempt to open one of the .xft files LiveCycle hangs (eating 100% CPU) and I eventually have to kill the process via task manager.
I'm running LiveCycle ES 8.2.
If anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how I can open these files it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Can you post the form? Designer can import .xft files so this could be a bug. You can report bugs at www.adobe.com -> Send Feedback link -> Report a Bug link.Hélène
