Hidden Field

I have created a form in Live Cycle Designer. I opened it in Acrobat Pro and went to the Advanced tab, Extend Features in Adobe Reader and resaved. When clients are completing the form and returning it, the fields are blank unless you put the cursor over it then the typing appears. I need to print these forms. What do I need to do?

Is this a conflict between PC and MAC? Different versions of Reader?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you made sure your Presence value for fields is set to "Visible" in LC Designer?

Yes...it is set to visible. I'm only having problems with a few, but.....this is a very important application and we have hundreds coming in. Even if 10% are coming in this way....it's a big problem.

Are your text properties (i.e., font and size) the same for all your fields? If you increase the field size, does the text appear?

Yes....all the fonts and size are the same. Is there a way that I can send you one of my problem applications for you to look at?

In looking into this a little deeper, I think your problem is related to forms filled out on MAC OS X where the Mac OSX's Preview.app isn't writing any appearance into the text fields nor it is setting the proper flags.
You can use Joel Geraci's Script to Fix Mac OSX Preview.app Form Fill and Save to correct the problem.
