I would like to avoid the 500 usage limit on PDF fillable forms. I understand that LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES can be used for this. About how much does it cost?

The price is negotiated between you and Adobe based on your intended usage. Another option is to use Form Router's Reader Extensions service: http://www.formrouter.com/pdf/readerextensions.htm

Negotiated? Does it start in the hundreds or thousands of dollars range?

Is it closer to $200 or $2000?

I do not know, I've only seen what others have mentioned. The lowest I've seen is in the low five-figure range. You'll have to contact Adobe to get more than speculation.

Hello,

I've had the same question and the answer shocked me.

there are several licences for reader extenstions (RE).

The Adobe documents server for reader extensions starts with 75.000€.
Then there a cost between 750€ and 9.200€ for enabling the RE for a form.
The costs are calculated by your company's conversion and the amount of forms which need the RE.
If you also need 2D-barcodes the licence is priced about 50% higher then.

There is also an unlimited licence for the server, which allows to enable the RE for every form you want.
It's starts from extreme 1.000.000$.
