LiveCycle Designer - Distribution problem

Hello all,

I am running into a problem where if I choose 'Distribute Form' from the File Menu, I receive the following error:

"Adobe Acrobat Professional is not responding and may need your attention before completing form distribution."

This is with Acrobat Professional 9.2.0 and LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.1 under Windows Vista 64. Any ideas what might be causing this?

I need to be able to add a "Save" button to the Form for Reader users to make use of, however LiveCycle won't let me import a PDF that already has those rights enabled, and I can't put my handy 'Save' button object onto the form until they're enabled--so I decided to try Distribute, but then I get this error.

Ideas?

Hi

I had this issue with the same version of LiveCycle, but running on XP. If you go into the Help menu on Acrobat and click on 'Repair Acrobat Installation' this should work.

Same problem. Turns out it was trying to switch to Acrobat, but ended up switching to Reader. Reader choked on the pdf because it was meant for Acrobat. The repair hint did help.
