Can you tell me how to affect the border color/thickness that results from validation? Example - when it sees required fields that have not been populated, LCD places a wide red border around each field. Any way to modify that?

I believe that setting is in Acrobat, not LCD. In Acrobat go to Preferences and in the Forms section you will see an option to change the "Required Fields Highlight Color." This is a user setting so the highlight color may be different for end users based on what color they chose for that setting.
