Problems Copying and Pasting

I am new to LiveCycle Designer, and am having some trouble with a form I am trying to create. I have a form with a text field that is set to "expand to fit" in a subform that is "flowed". I want salesreps to be able to create a proposal in Word and then copy it into this pdf form which contains all the proper footers and headers. However, when I copy and paste something from Word into this file, some of it comes across in Chinese letters, and it is not that way in the Word document. For the most part, the formatting was consistant with the Word document as far as bullets and font weight, but I don't know why it changed the Times New Roman font to Chinese characters for two sections of the document. The font for this field is set to Myriad Pro. I tried change the font for this text field to Times New Roman, but that didn't solve my problem. How can I stop this from happening?

Copy and paste from word into a PDF file has caused some format and punctuation issues for me. What I discovered was a setting in Word that needed to be changed. May be worth checking

Bring up Word
Select FORMAT
Select AUTO FORMAT from drop-down
Select OPTIONS button
Select AUTO FORMAT AS YOU TYPE tab
Uncheck the box labeled "Straight quotes" with "smart quotes"
Click OK
Click OK again
