Rogue text field glitch?

I've got a worksheet that has 150+ Text/Numeric Fields on it that show up when I edit in LiveCycle Designer. Some were created when I created a new form others I put in manually.

In the pdf I'm finding there are extra text fields that I can not access through designer. This is a problem because they are right on top of other fields and it is very likely that one would enter information in a rouge field instead of the one it is intended. This is very noticeable as the text in these fields are much larger than the rest.

So I've deleted everything in the area and replaced the fields but the rogue boxes are still there. I can't locate where they are coming from.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Have I got something hidden I shouldn't? Will the XML code view be helpful?

Have you checked the master pages? Is it possible to see the form?

Nothing that I could find on the Master pages. When I went to start over and tried to have Adobe automatically identify fields, it couldn't name a few because of the non-alpha-numeric characters associated with the potential field. Reviewing the errors the second time around, I noticed that these were in the same locations the rouge text fields were in the first attempt. This is my best guess to where this glitch started from.

Can you post the form somewhere so it can looked at?

yah uh i would guess from the sounds of it you did the first round of editing in acrobat then went to designer, I started using this program a month ago and thought i was cool cause i had been building forms in acrobat and felt confident since this is like acrobats little brother, same as image ready and photoshop right. Aint wrong livecycle is like acrobats red headed step brother that breaks and smashes everything acrobat gives it 100% different program nothing alike and as far as i know it doesnt do field recognition. try using the designer import options i had so many problems trying to repurpose all my old acrobat forms i eventually gave up and just imported feilds from xcel. Try going from xcel to designer and see if that fixes it mind you will have to maunally replace every feild but it should come out clean.

Hope that gives you some insight

The solution to my problem was starting over from scratch. The original documents I had received from the client had been started in Acrobat. I got the original documents and this issue was no longer an issue.
