I created a form in LiveCycle Designer 8 and want to send it out securely but without requiring a password.
Everything I read mentions setting a password and this audience would not want another thing to do!
thanks for your time,
Anna

There's more than one way to use a password on a PDF for security. One method requires the end user to know the password to open the document. Another option is to set a password and specify what can/cannot be done with the PDF- then the end user cannot make those changes, but can open the PDF without knowing the password, and can also do other options you specify such as print, comment, etc.
Open the PDF in Acrobat and go to Document ->Security -> Secure this document. Double click on the "Restrict Opening and Editing Using Password..." option. In the bottom panel labeled "Permissions" you can choose from a variety of options, supply a password ( don't forget it, you may need it later yourself, so write it down somewhere) then follow the rest of the prompts. You need to save the document for the security to be applied.Hope this helps,
Dimitri
