Text disappears when filled out

So I'm creating a form, one that is able to be filled out on the computer. I make it into a PDF and open up the file and type into the fields which are used to be filled out, and then I save it. It's all fine and good until when I open up the file again and hover over the text in the fields, the text is gone.
 
Basically, all my text in the fields are gone once the PDF is saved. Is there a solution?
