Are the calculation fields turned off on the 30 day trial version of Acrobat Pro X? I cannot get even simple calculations to work.

Just adding up a list of numbers was my original attempt.
I reduced it to just adding two input text fields.
I tried first using "value is the" sum where you choose the 2 fields to be added to a 3rd. The "equation" did not show up in the box below the drop-down operand choice and it did not work.
I then attempted the simplified field notation.
It did show up in the box as this:
(9aFrom this case-9b From other case)which is correctly written.
The results do not show up in the 3rd field.

If you're using the Simplified Notation option then your field names must not contain spaces in them, or any other special characters.

Found a conflict of some sort within the word doc as it was initially created by a 3rd party program. When creating a clean word doc and using the calc functions, it works.Thanks for your assistance in attempting to solve this mystery!
