Acrobat 8 Pro - Client can't "see" certain pages

I am on a mac using Acrobat 8 Pro.

I sent my client a pdf today. I exported a book document from InDesign, with compatability setup with Acrobat 5. I do this every day and have done for years - and have never run into a problem. The pdf looked fine on my end, but when my client viewed it, she could not see page 14 of the document . It just came up as a blank page (she's using Acro 7 Reader on a PC). The document is just text, no fancy drop shadows, no crazy filters. Just text. Has anyone ever seen this before?

In the meantime I sent my client just a pdf of page 14 and he can see it fine.

Is your client viewing the PDF in a browser or just Reader? Are they updated to the latest version of Reader 7 (7.1.0)? Were you using any type of security on the PDF?

She is using Reader, and she is updated to the latest version. No security. When I make my pdfs from InDesign I generally make it compitable with Acrobat 5 and above (in case someone is using a really old version). I sent my client a new pdf yesterday and set the compatibility to version 7 or higher. This seemed to solve the mysterious problem...

Since you're using Acrobat Pro. why don't you try using some of the Preflight tools to check out the contents of the PDF. You could run a version compatibility check to see if a graphic or something else causing the issue.
