Hello,

I just discovered Acrobat's measuring tool. I do home floor plan creations in customer's homes with paper and pencil but would like to transition to a touch screen and save to .pdf format. If using the measure tool to measure a room I have 4 questions that if you could answer would hook me up BIG TIME :)

1. How do I get the annotation which I've said is a room name to enter into the box (room) I've just created on my drawing?

2. How do I get the square footage to be in the the room on the drawing?

3. Can both perimeter and area be calculated and displayed at the same time?

4. Is there a way to do math in these drawings? For instance: I want to add up all the areas in the rooms I just drew in to get the total square footage and or perimeter.

Thank you.

Hi --

Answers to your questions:

1/2. Use one of the commenting tools to add other information such as the room's name, and the footage. If you don't want the frames for the comments to display, right-click, choose Properties, and set the background and stroke to white.

3. No. One type of measurement at a time.

4. No again. Sorry.
