I was having some issues with Reader 9 so I down loaded and install reader X on my Citrix Presentation Server 4.0. If I am logged into the server as Admin I can open and use the reader X without any problems. How ever if I am logged on as several different users (some work just fine) through thin clients Reader X will not function The error I get is:

"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way" "Contact the application support team for more information"

The next messages is "The exception unknown software exception (0x40000045) occured in the application at location 0x0047dfo3"

Any help would be apreaciated.

You will need to disable Protected Mode in Adobe Reader X - currently it is not compatible with Citrix.

See this link for more info about Protected Mode.

I went to File but Properities is grayed out.
How do I turn protected mode off?
Is there a different reader I should be using with Citrix?

Edit -> Preferences, not File -> Properties.

From the Protected Mode FAQ:..
..

>> Can you enable and disable Protected Mode via the user interface?
..
>> Yes. Go to Edit > Preferences > General, and in the Application Startup panel, check or uncheck Enable Protected Mode at startup.
