Acrobat Slide Show

I've created a slide show of photos, but some of the photos are landscape and others portrait. I've rotated all images to view as they should appear and they look fine in the page view format, but the slide show converts all to landscape. Is there a way to utilize both views in a slide show?

Hi Randy --

You can use both landscape and portrait. The reason you are seeing your portrait images rotated is that the slideshow shows only landscape orientations.

If you want to use images having a portrait orientation, follow these steps:

1. Open the image in an image program of some sort.
2. Resize the canvas to a full screen size, such as 1024x786 pixels, which creates a landscape orientation for the entire file.
3. Color the canvas black (or use any color you like -- black is what Acrobat uses).
4. Save the image again, and replace the version in your slideshow pdf.

In your slideshow, the portrait images will show as you want with a black background.
