With a PDF document, is it possible to view the document as usually while when printing it to have some additional information printed onto the pages such as “Page printed on dd/mm/yyyy” on the left side of each page, I mean, only on the printed pages? Thank you very much.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 6, Windows

Hi antbov,

Yes, you can have elements in the PDF that do not display in the viewer but will display when printed. The elements on the Forms Toolbar (text field, button, checkbox, digital sig, etc.) can be set to "Hidden but Printable" via their Properties Dialog, accessed by a right click on the element itself.
You can also make Watermarks and Backgrounds act this way by unchecking the "Show When Displaying on Screen" and checking the "Show When Printing" options in the dialog that comes up when you create those elements.
To create a field with the example you gave- "Page Printed on dd/mm/yyyy" you will need a custom JavaScript attached to the field that will obtain the current date from the User's system when they print the document, but this is totally doable.

Hope that helps,
