Adobe Pro 8 - adding divider pages

I'm not sure exactly what to call this - divider pages or tabs but I've had not luck in my searches.

I want to add between sections a divider page like you would find in a hard copy document between sections. Can something like this be added and if so how?

Thank you in advance!

Vicki

Bon dia Vicki,
As a PDF file is rather different from anything in hard copy it may be that
something analogous would have to be used.
PDF Bookmarks present themselves as the most direct implementation.

Thank you daka for your reply to my request. I was hoping for more a visual tab on the document. Is there a way maybe to insert a blank page with a tab sticky out so the user can click on that to go to that section??

Vicki,
"ThumbTabs"

It is possible to configure a template for the authoring application such that, on the right margin of pages, there are virtual tabs.

Set up the desired intra / inter document links in the authoring application.

Provides an interesting effect and an enjoyable "set up" project in the authoring application.
One of the FrameMaker Template Packs contains an example of ThumbTabs.
