I am trying to create a new document. When I am just viewing it there is a block outlined in red in the middle of my first page w/ text in it. when I go to click on it, it disappears. What is that? How do I delete that?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.0, Macintosh

without knowing how you created this exactly, and without looking at the PDF, I have no way to know what this might be - it might be a form object - if you have Acrobat 9 Pro, you could use the touch up object tool to select it and delete it - if that is what you wish to do.

Hope this helps

Hi Michael ~

I will try looking that up "form objects" in the manual somewhere. I'm not afraid to look things up but somehow I didn't think doing a search on "block outlined in red in the middle of my first page w/ text in it. when I go to click on it, it disappears" would work. haha

Thanks for some verbiage I can use.

I did not say "form object" - I suggested that you use the "touch up object tool" to see if you could select and delete the offending object.

If you email me the pdf at michaelejahn [at] gmail [dot] com - i will be happy to take a look at it

Duuuuuude (kidding) ~

Unfortunately it's a huge document to send. I tried recreating the problem and couldn't. I still have the original in Pages format so I just did a copy and started over pasting into Adobe. I'm new to the software so I'm sure it's just something I did that I didn't know I did.

Thanks for the offer! I really appreciate it.
