I've recently started with acrobat. The way I use it, it would be very convenient to have the typewriter toolbar anchored on the menu bar somewhere. Is this possible?

Yes, just move up to the tool bar or dock it to the tool bar by right clicking on the tool bar and selecting the "Dock to tool bar" option or use the "Ctrl + F8" key combination.

In Acrobat X, floating toolbars are *not* dockable under any circumstances. George's instructions apply to previous versions of Acrobat.
