When I click onto a pdf from outlook express I get this error message:
C:\Documents and Settings\HP Administrator\Local Settings\temporary internet files\content.IE5\MG1ZEX28\filename.pdf is not a valid Win32 application.

What changes do I need to make to my settings?

Thanks.

Hi Jimi,

What OS and version of Acrobat are you using? If you're running a 64-bit version of the OS and using Acrobat 8.0 (not 8.1) ore earlier than you may be running into compatibility issues. See the following technical note:

Hi there,
I am having a similar problem opening pdf files using outlook express and Adobe 8.1. My operating system is Windows Vista. I keep getting the message that the file is corrupt and cannot open. My colleague can get the same message but can open it using Windows XP and outlook express. Can you please assist?
