Is there a maximum number of files that you can have in an index? I thought in an older version of Acrobat that you were limited to 1,000 files but haven't been able to find any mention of it in version 9.
Thanks!
My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows
fwiw — In part of an "eLibrary" I maintain I've a static collection of legacy PDFs (24,364) that have a single Catalog index (*.pdx) to provide advanced search (vice "Find").
Started with Reader/Acrobat 4, went to 5. Acrobat 6 introduced a new search engine/cataloging process. So, rebuilt the *.pdx for use with Reader/Acrobat 6/7/8/9. (& that did take a wee bit of time )Like a Timex watch, it keeps on "ticking".
