Is it possible in Acrobat to combine two letter size pages (8.5 x 11) side-by-side on to one tabloid size (11x17) page? If so how can you do it?
If some one wants to email me a how to I would appreciate it? DHWagner [at] comcast [dot] net

For the best results, you will need to use a 3rd party imposition program. For a quick and dirty poor result, pint the PDF with the "Page scaling:" set to "Multiple pages per sheet" and print to the Adobe PDF printer. The second method will cause a lose of all links, all interactivity, all form fields, and a poor print quality.

Hi DH,

You have another workaround using Acrobat. If you only have a page or two to edit, open both your PDF files in Acrobat. On one page use the Crop tool and set the crop margins to 17 inches for the width (or height) while keeing the other dimension at the same size.

Click the TouchUp Object tool and select all objects (Ctrl/Command + A). Move the elements to one side of the page (i.e. left/right or top/bottom).

Next, choose Window > Tile > Vertically. You should see both documents in the Acrobat window side by side. Click the second document and again select all. Copy the elements and click the first document (11x17 page). Choose Edit > Paste. Use the TouchUp Object tool to move the elements to the opposite side of the page.If you have links, click the Select Object tool and again select all. Copy and paste the links/form fields from the second document to the new resized document. Drag the obejcts to position and choose Save As and save to a new file name.

Obviously, this little workaround would satisfy some needs if you only have a few pages to modify. Larger documents would require some tedious work to perform the same steps on multiple pages.
