Combining Pages

I have an e-book, and I want to know if there is any way to take two pages, and combine them into one by shrinking the text a bit, and rotating them 90 degrees to landscape so they can keep their dimension ratio. The goal would be to shrink the amount of paper used when printing.

Hi -

Sure, you can do that if you are using Professional. You need a few steps:

1. Choose Document > Rotate Pages and then specify the pages you want to rotate and choose a 90 degree rotation value.2. Next, choose Document > Crop Pages to open the Crop Pages dialog box. Specify the size for the new page by typing values in the Custom width and height fields, or choosing a fixed value from the Page Sizes dropdown menu. Choose one of your pair of pages to apply the changes to and click OK.3. At this point, you have two rotated pages, and one of the pages is large enough to hold content from both. Hopefully. ;)

4. Select the TouchUp Object tool on the Advanced Editing toolbar and click the block of text on the larger-sized page. You see a frame with resize handles around the text. Drag from one of the corner handles to decrease the size of the text. Drag the text to its final position on the wider page.

5. Repeat the resizing process with the text on the other page. Choose Edit > Cut to place it on the clipboard. You now have one block of text on one page, and one blank page.6. On the wider page, choose Edit > Paste to paste the cut text block to the center of the wider page. Drag it to its final position.donna.
