Convert vector art into jpg when saving a pdf

Hi everyone,

I have a large pdf file consisting of text and graphics. The graphics are all vector art, ie. from Illustrator. I wondered if there was a way to save the pdf and at the same time convert all the vector art into low-res jpg or png files? Not as separate files, just remaining in the pdf.

Appreciate any advice.

Not in any realistic way - changes like that should be done at the authoring stage. There are some tricks to convert single images or an entire page (including all text etc) into bitmaps, but to process every vector object in a large PDF and yet retain everything else intact is not practicable.

Thanks for the reply,

Yeah I thought this was asking a bit too much. I just thought I'd check it out just in case there was something I was missing but obviously not.

I'll have to go the long way!
