Copy and Pasting from PDF

I cannot copy and paste from a PDF yet can copy and paste from other PDFs just like it. All the permissions are set to allowed and I cannot find a outstanding variable that would make one copy-able and the other not.
When I copy and paste from this pdf I get these little alien looking heads symbols instead of text.

Acrobat Pro 9.0, Macintosh

Hi Drimo_is_great,

It could be that the PDF in question has a font embedded that is not a font available on your system.

I am using Acrobat 9.3.0 Standard. i am able to copy form one PDF but unable to paste in another PDF. the Option is disabled. THe Snapshop tool is not working. Please advice.

I think you need to check out the properties of the file. As Dimitri said, not all PDF files could be easily copy and paste.
