I am trying to create a postcard and flyer that can be customized by members of our organization. I want to create the design and layout of the piece, but then leave a place at the bottom where they can include their business name, address and phone number and then resave the file and then take it to a local printer to have printed or print it on their home printer. Is this possible? If so, can someone please point me in the direction of some resources or explain? I'd be grateful.

All you need to do is add a form field. Use the Text Box tool to draw the area where you'd like the custom content inserted. After you draw the text box the Properties dialog box opens where you can configure the appearance and text. Depending on your document's requirements, you can insert a text box without a border, specify a background, and so on, to coordinate with the overall page.
Once the user has the file, all they do is enter their info in the appropriate fields and can print in any location.
You can add multiple fields for them to add their info.
