I am using Acrobat 7 and have been trying all the text object tools etc to eliminate a blank space in my pdf document, is there a simple delete function like in Word documents to clean up empty spaces or gray lines from copied documents? thanks Bob

If you are trying to modify a scanned text image, there is not text just an image of text. If you OCR the image, you will have an image of text with hidden text.

Now if you have words in the PDF, you will have to use the "Text Touchup" tool and no other tool. But this tool is limited to editing text within the PDF that you have the very exact font, not the same named font but the very same font, available on your system.

It is always best not to edit the PDF but to edit the source file in the source application.

Thanks, The original document was an email with the body of a news article, when i converted (trying to convert only selected body of email) the header with my email address etc still came through and i was able with the text tool to get rid of text but a space and gray line still appear above the news article. the Select Article, Object, Crop Tools do not work on eliminating this space, any other suggestions please? Thanks
