Ever since installing Acrobat 8, I sporadically get an error message pop up that says "Acrobat Distiller has encountered a problem and needs to close." In all cases, Distiller has not been running. I tried removing the Adobe Synchronizer from the tray and Startup menu, but I'm still getting the error message. I saw no reference to this problem on Adobe's Knowledgebase. Any ideas?
When you are using Acrobat, you are also using the functionality of Distiller, whether or not the program itself is opened.
I suggest you repair the installation. Select Help > Repair Acrobat Installation to have the program test and repair any potential errors.donna.
