We received a 8.5x14 .pdf document. It is the front & back of a bulletin. The right side has graphic,
the left side has text. What needs to be done to edit (correct spelling errors, punctuation, etc) of the text? Can it be edited as you would with Word (Type over, backspace to delete)?

What am I missing?

Thanks?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.2, Windows

if it's an image pdf, it can not be edited in acrobat. open the file in an image editor like photoshop (ps elements is okay) and make the desired edits. it is not a simple task.
if it's a text pdf, minor edits can be performed with the touchup text tool. as many skilled contributors to this forum have said, acrobat is not a word processor.

Thanks for your quick response. I guess when my copy of Acrobat 9 Pro arrives I need to figure out how to use it.

you'll need AA pro (not standard) to get the useful touchup object tool (which you'll need if you want to tweak the grapics). you can get AA8 pro on eBay for around $100. Adobe allows you to transfer a license -- there is a form to complete and submit. very easy.
