Floating boxes on Acrobat X/Mac

I use an iMAC with a second monitor. The floating boxes that are in Acrobat X for MAC will appear *only* on the monitor that I designate as the master monitor (where my Apple menu appears on the left). ONce I bring up a floating box for controlling a tool (like the Typewriter tool) it cannot be moved onto the second monitor.
 
This must be a bug - right? Or am I missing some preference to set the floating box behavior?
