Hi guys,

I am trying to add a document level script to turn highlight fields off (i am doing my own highlighting), but the add button is disabled. I'm sure I'm just doing something stupid, anyone know what it is?

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.3.1, Windows

Did you enter a name for the script?

Since I don't know what this means, I am going to go with "No. Help?" :) I'm not new to scripting but I am certainly new to scripting in Acrobat. Direct me, kind sir!

The buttons on the 'Java Scripts Functions' pop-up are dynamic. That are only active when the action is appropriate.

No existing scripts, all the buttons, 'Add', 'Edit', and 'Delete' are inactive as no action is possible for no script.

Enter a new name in the option box under 'Script Name:' and the "Add" button becomes active since you can add a new script. The 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons are inactive as you can not edit or delete a new script.

Enter or select an existing script name, Acrobat automatically selects the first listed script, and the 'Edit' and 'Delete' buttons become active since one can edit or delete and existing script, but one can not add an existing script so the 'Add' button is inactive.

See Entering Document Scripts by Thom Parker for an illustration and more information.
