I have a huge spec book and it has bookmarks for each section. I would like to extract each bookmarked section into individual PDF files.
I can select the bookmark and then select extract and creat a pdf and then do it again. Time consuming process.
Is there a way to select all bookmarks and have Acrobat create a seperate PDF file for each bookmark?
Is there any automated way to break a large PDF into smaller PDF files?
Thanks.
(from the help file - searched for "split bookmarks")
1. Open PDF and under the "Document" menu, select "Split Document"
2. In the Split document dialog, there is a "Top-level bookmarks" radio button (so you can split by Bookmarks)
It even offers a method to do this on many files (that is, files that are not currently open in Acrobat) - simply do step one (with or without out any files open) and Add Files...
also (if for some reason you like PDF but do not have much money or hate Adobe for some weird reason)

(i just searched Google for "Extract Bookmarked PDF")
Adobe help - it is a powerful thing
Google Search - it is a powerful thing.
