How to rotate a PDF prior to display

I have some e-documents that I need to retrieve for display upon user request. This is not a problem. However, some of the documents are in landscape mode and need to be rotated 90 degrees to display properly. Is there a parameter that I may append to the URL to tell the viewer software to do this?

Hi,

This was under the "Ask an expert" section, I believe this is what you are looking for:

Q: How to save view rotation changes in Adobe Acrobat 6.o? For example saving a change from a portrait to landscape view? Can subsequent Adobe versions accomplish this if 6.0 can not?

A:Hi erodrigue,

There are two ways to rotate pages- one way lets you save and the other way does not. If you use "Rotate View" you cannot save the rotation. Instead, use the Rotate Pages Menu Item (in Acrobat 7 it is Document ->Rotate pages, I don't have Acrobat 6 on my system anymore but I think it is the same). Make the changes in the Rotate Pages dialog and then you will be able to save the PDF with that set rotation.Hope that helps,

If you don't have Adobe Acrobat, you can also use RotatePDF.net (http://www.rotatepdf.net/) to rotate your PDF document. It's free and it's an online service so there's no need to download/install anything.

There is no HTML parameter, but you might be able to add the necessary JS to the document's initialization either by editing the PDF or using an FDF file to add and execute the necessary JavaScript action to the PDF as it is opened, Automatic Insertion of Document-Level JavaScripts by Dr, D. I have no idea of how to rotate that image, I have tried Adobe Reader but failed. As you wanna use PDF for presentations and encounter problems, so why not have a try to convert PDF to PowerPoint and then use PPT slides for presentations? It would be very easy to rotate the image in PPT slides. Of course, you can also make your PDF files editable in PPT slides. if necessary, try to use this PDF to Powerpoint Converter, which I think it would be helpful. Up to you!

I will try my best to help you in PDF converison fields, objectively and Neutral.
