How skip/suppress "Tell us about your software" on each new post?

Hi:

Not a big deal, but since my profile already has my platform and version of Acrobat entered, why is a new poster always presented with "Tell us about your software"?

Thanks.

Hi Roy,

This is because your Profile information is not displayed within the forum posts. So, unless someone clicks the link to your Profile, they won't have any background information on your system.

You have a good suggestion about pre-populating the system information.

Thanks,
Lori

OK, I've updated my profile -- now displays Acrobat version information.

1. But on the profile page, there's no button that says "make profile public", though there is an advisory that says the profile has not yet been made public

2. My avatar/picture is an animate .gif, which Internet Explorer displays correctly (animated). But here, it appears to be static. Doesn't the forum display these animated .gif files?

Thanks.

P.S. On this post, my profile information is not (was not?) displayed when I revisited the forum to review it. Does it get added later, after some sort of posting "commit" by the system? (i.e., after this edit)

Your profile should be public now but the avatar will remain static.

Ikassuba:

Profile is public on my first post, but not on the edited reply above.

Sorry to hear the forum software doesn't support animated gifs.
