When I attach a pdf to my email (OSX, Mail 2.1) it opens in the body of the email. How do I make it just an icon?

Single page PDFs appear in Apple Mail with the page in view inside the mail message. Multiple page PDFs appear as an attachment icon. As far as I know, you can't change it.

As a workaround, you can stuff the PDF in a Stuffit archive. The attached archive will appear as an icon file attachment.

Sorry, I should have added this -- here's how: if you send a message in Apple Mail you can choose whether it shows inline or as an attachment icon. just control-click on the attachment and you can change it.
